Ivana's apartment was the one I picked for two guest arriving from Italy and it was a right pick! She is very nice and welcoming, she provided all the information before they came and the apartment was just great - a lot of parking space, close to everything but still in a quiet neighborhood. And what's the most important thing - it's clean and really feels like home :)

Everything was just as we wanted it to be. The apartment was packed with all necessary stuff when you travel. There were some basic products in the fridge and counters like tea, sugar and so on. Those small but necessary things makes the stay comfortable.

I enjoyed another week of hospitality of the family Gustec. This time in the smaller apartment which was very cosy and well furnished with all kitchen equipment one can think of. The apartment was very clean and really quiet. I was met at the airport by ivana's mother and found a nice bottle of wine waging for me. I will definitely stay there next time and thank the ladies for keeping the apartment so nice and clean. Rutger-Jan Schoen

Ivana, her mother and her sister were warm, helpful and excellent hosts. They have a lovely apartment very conveniently located to Zagreb. The unit is well furnished, very comfortable and well maintained and stocked. Ivana was very helpful in settling me in, providing assistance and guidance, whether it was parking, commuting to the city, etc. Very nice neighborhood and Ivana goes out of the way to be a professionald and kind, understanding host. I enjoyed my stay and hope to visit again! Have no hestitation in recommending her apartment to other visitors to the Zagren area. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Остонавливались в апартаментах на одну ночь, перед этим были в гостинице, которая была намного хуже и дороже. В Путешествии уже останавились в 5 ти гостиницах и апартаментах. Могу сказать, точно что у Иванны лучшие апартаменты!!!

“Great Apartment, Clean, Stylish, Modern, Well Maintained, Great Host”
Reviewed February 22, 2013 for a stay in April 2012

Stayed here last Year on Vacation, The outside isn't much to look at but inside the apartment is very stylishly done and maintained, Everything had a very clean feel about it, from the Bathroom, Kitchen and Bedroom. The Host was amazing, spoke perfect English, helped us out with all our quetions about the City.

I would say value for you Money this place is off the charts, if you were to get a equivalent place as clean and furnished and well done as this in the states it would easily cost $200 a night, plus the service and friendlyness of the host would make this a 5 star.

Would definitely stay again.

“Perfect location, price, hospitality and everything you could want.”

Our stay was amazing. Ivana and her sister are two of the friendliest most beautiful people we have ever met. They made us feel so very welcome and went above and beyond for their roles as hosts. The apartment is spacious, has everything you could want in the way of facilities, there is a large fridge freezer, oven, large bench space, microwave, cutlery, crockery, pots, pans etc.
There is an LCD TV with DVD player and stereo, pay TV with CNN and NBC, high speed wireless internet.
The bed is comfortable and large, there is a washing machine and dryer, cleaning supplies. The bathroom is large and the shower head is the best ever.
The neighborhood is peaceful and there is a shop at the end of the street that is a mini mart, it has everything you need except fresh meat.
Zagreb is cheap and the 10 min tram ride to the centre is no trouble at all.
If anywhere deserves a five star rating this is it, I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

“Best choice we made”
Reviewed July 15, 2012 for a stay in June 2012

I can not knock this place, everything was perfect!!

The hosts were exceptionally fantastic, they made us feel extremely welcome and went beyond the call of duty to assist us with anything we had trouble with.

The location is ideal, it's in a nice peaceful residential area of Zagreb that is just 10 minutes away from the city centre which you can reach by the very easy to use tram service. Ivana and her sister also recommended this nearby Bosnian restaurant called 'Black gold', the food there was great and had a lovely warm atmosphere.

If you're hoping to visit the Platvice Lakes/waterfalls then this place is ideal, you can hope on the tram (for free, no one checks) to the bus station (about five minutes away) and then get a direct bus which only takes about two hours and costs hardly anything. You'll find bus tickets are a lot cheaper in Croatia than in the UK.

The actual accommodation itself is fantastic, just the right size for two people. They have wifi, a television, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board, you name it they probably have it. The bed was comfortable and came with plenty of duvets and the like. No problems at all. The kitchen was all brand new and there was everything needed to cook your oven food.

Would I recommend this to anyone? 100% yes. Should I ever go back to Zagreb I would definitely stay here again.

“Home away from home”
Reviewed May 26, 2012 for a stay in May 2012

As other guests have stated, the apartment is well and truly worth the 5 star rating.
The owner is extremely helpful and friendly, you could not find better. We were made to feel very welcome and were even given complimentary rides to and from the airport.

Upon arrival to the apartment we were given helpful tips on the quickest routes to get around the city aswell as being advised
on locations and events that were occurring during our stay.

The apartment itself is very clean and beautifully decorated, it is equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Feels like a home away from home.
There were plenty of useful tourist booklets and maps to show you beauty spots in Zagreb. It is conveniently located in a neighbourhood close to the tram stop for ease of access to the city and has a shop for basic needs just a few steps away.

I would highly recommend staying here, we really enjoyed our stay. It is well worth the money and I would definitely stay here again.

“We rarely left the apartment because it was so nice”
Reviewed April 18, 2012 for a stay in April 2012

Rarely do I belive places are worthy of a 5 star rating enventhough I might give one close to it myself. However this place deserves it. If I could give it 6 out of 5 I would. Let's start with the apartment first. It has all the anemities you would need. Including a fridge with food and drinks in it when you arrive. What kind of apartment rental goes shopping for you? Secondly, the apartment has the best shower I have had in over 3 weeks. A double headed shower! Oh yeah, it has a bathtub too.... TV, you have both satellite and digital tv. A little dangerous because it's hard to decide which channel to choose. It has a balcony and feels safe. In terms of location, its not in the cental area of town, but it boders it. It is a 5 min drive from the main train station and the same from the bus. The tram stops about a 5 minute walk from this place and it is one connection to go right to downtown zagreb.

In terms of the hosts, you will not, I reapeat, will not, find better ones. The owner is a student in University for tourism management. The mother and daughter team have been running these apartments for 6 years. They know the area and what they are doing. We were welcomed with some of the mothers fresh baked goods and the daugter helped us for over 2 hours planning the rest of our trip across eastern europe. We had our own personal tour agent who was from the area prettymuch plan a good portion of our trip for us. The daughter also picked us up from the train station and took us on a tour of the area. Oh, and also offered to drive us anywhere we like. We tried to offer some extra euros to say thanks, but was graciously turned down.

I would have gladly paid 3 times the amout to stay at this place and have the hospitaltiy and knowledge of the hosts. A must if it isn't booked, you will not regret your stay.

"Owners very friendly and helpful"

We originally booked for the Apartment Prince but there was a problem with the water boiler which meant we couldn't stay there the first night. However Ivana and Snjezana were very helpful and arranged for an alternative apartment in a modern building in the same area at no extra cost. We had the option to move to the Apartment Prince for our second night but opted to stay put. So unfortunately we cannot comment on the Apartment Prince but we wanted to let everyone know we really appreciated the hospitality and friendliness of Ivana (who picked us up from the airport and also drove us to Lake Jarun) and her mother Snjezana.

Neighbourhood felt safe (very residential with a mix of low and high rises) as we had no problems. There are some food options in the area but we ended up eating in the city centre (too lazy to cook). Getting there was fairly simple using the trams. But you have to buy tickets at Tisak stands, not on the tram. So first time we ended up walking to the bus station (about 15 minutes) to find one. After that, no issues getting around the city as the tram system is fairly simple to figure out. All in all, we enjoyed our time in Zagreb and it's worth a couple of days to stay.

“Lovely apartment, warm welcome!”

The apartment was lovely, clean and spacious with lots of homely touches and a fantastic coffee machine. The owner couldn't do enough to help us - welcome pack, free pick up from train station and lifts to restaurants, even going back for my glasses when I left them behind! We loved the location in a quiet residential area with space to sit outside in a large communal garden; watching the locals go about their day to day life (and somewhere for our five year old to ride on her scooter).

I stayed with two friends at Ivana's apartment. We were amazed at the hospitality that she and her mom offered us. They were always available and assisted us in everything. They recommended a restaurant we can visit, drove us there and picked us up on the way back. The apartment itself is wonderful, in a quiet area, about a 20 minute walk from downtown. Our stay in Zagreb was amazing.

Very cosy and nice appartment with all you need and more. We felt home straight away the moment we arrived. Fantastic, hostile, multilingual hosts, who care about everything you want to know. Host gave us a lift to the bus terminal when we where leaving in the middle of the night. When in Zagreb, definitely stay here.

+ Close to the tram station (in 10min. in the city centre)
+ lots of parking space
